
Rifle Foundation Level 2 builds on the skills learned in Level 1. Participants will learn the Four Firearm Safety Rules, safe handling practices, and range protocols. The class also covers patrol rifle nomenclature, specifications, and basic function, including ammunition types and cycle of operation. Students will begin dry drills focusing on weapon familiarity, safe loading/unloading, and visual/physical safety checks. After ensuring a sighted in rifle, students will begin learning basic rifle manipulation from static positions.
Students will require the following materials:
Eye & Ear Protection (electronic recommended)
Semiautomatic Rifle with Detachable Magazine
4 Rifle Magazines and Minimum of 1 Mag Carrier
Hat (optional)
300 Rounds of Rifle Ammunition (total of 400 if including Level 1)
Rifle Mounted Red Dot Sight (highly recommended but not required)
